The ball is to be held May 31 at the Raleigh House. • • The annual ORT Imperial Ball has a new look for the '70's — a Bal Carnival, to be held at the Raleigh House 6:30 p.m. May 31. The carnival, which begins with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, will feature a midway of adult games (including a kissing booth) and prizes. Surprise guests will help with the awarding of prizes such as 10 shares of blue chip stock, a three-piece set of luggage, a por- table TV set, a week-end for two in Las Vegas and a $100 Israel Bond. The guests will proceed to a gourmet sit-down dinner with "Woman" as the theme for the tables. Music for dining and dancing will be provided by the Blue Notes, while Craig Stine and his group will provide music for the carnival hour as well as periodically through the evening. MISS SUZANNE WOLFF JNF of Windsor to Co-sponsor Fete for Israel's Day The Jewish National Fund Coun- cil of Windsor and the Jewish Community Council will celebrate the 22nd anniversary of Israel's independence 8:30 p.m : - Sunday at the Jewish Center. There will be refreshments. The third metropolitan Detroit pilgrimage and study mission to Israel has been announced by Da- vid P. Zack, president of the Jew- ish National Fund. The 18-day excursion, limited to 40 persons, is scheduled to depart Detroit July 13 and includes a three-day visit to London. Trans- portation will be via jet direct from Detroit to Lod Airport in Tel Aviv. The Jewish National Fund is Israel's land developer, and JNF representatives will personally con- duct tours to JNF-prepared frontier settlements and various out-of-the- way projects.
