The first step was the formation of sisterhood teams who visited area nursing homes five times a year to celebrate the Jewish holi- days. These teams were developed into groups that now visit residents of 12 nursing homes weekly or State Pharmaceutical Association, the Order of the Double Star of Alpha Zeta Omega, the Outstand- ing Service Award of Rho Chi So- ciety, Certificate of Merit (for public education) of the American Pharmaceutical Association and, in 1969, the Distinguished Service Award of University Extension, the University of Wisconsin. Mr. and Mrs. Bloom were mar- ried in 1915 at the bride's home on Division St. Mr. Bloom who is now retired was an employe of Western Union Telegram Co. for 44 years.
