Israel's Independence to Be Marked Throughout Community

Ayalons at Center

Kicking off a week-long celebra-
tion of the anniversary of Israel's
independence at the Jewish Center
will be a return engagement of
the Ayalons. a group of Israeli
musical comedians, 8 p.m. Sunday.
In the valley of Ayalon, during
the Israeli War of Liberation of
1948, four boys formed the Aya-
lons. Life magazine photographed
one of their performances in the
middle of the desert while appear-
ing before the Israel army in the
Sinai Campaign.
The Ayalons' talents brought
them to the United States,
where they have since per-
formed before the President, at
Radio City Music Mall, major
concert halls and hotels and
clubs. Their knowledge of many
languages and cultures enables
the Ayalons to present a varied
program.
