a special citation for 18 years'
service, said that plans are being
formulated to recover much of the
uncollected funds.
A blue box clearance drive be-
gins in Detroit April 23. Many
local women's organizations will
participate.
Directing the entire operation for
JNF will be Mrs. Frank Silver-
man, chairman of the over-all JNF
blue box committee. She will be
assisted by co-chairmen. Mes.
dames Julius Ring, Sol Lifsitz,
Joseph Newman, Harry Portnoy
and Israel Kardener of the Wom-
en of JNF.

for Hadassah is Mrs. Julius Fox.
Her co-chairmen include Mesdames
Ethel Hackman, Stan Berlin, Ir-
ving, Kleiman, Warren Zweigel,
Ray Wittus. Marion Solomon, Hy-
man Gittleman, Louis Rycus,
Esther Johnson and Richard
Friedman.
Mrs. A. H. Stein will represent
Northwest Child Rescue; Mrs.
S. Shulman will represent Miz-
rachi, Fanny Gluck; and Mrs.
Milton Winston will represent
Mizrachi, Sisters of Zion, in the
blue box collection drive.
Heading the JNF blue box col-
lection for Pioneer Women is Mrs.
Sara Kanter. Her co-chairmen in-
clude Mesdames Sara Jacobs,
Michael Michlin, Lena Band, Ger-
trude Garmel, Movsas Goldoftas,
Sophie Tatelman, Lilly Stollman
and Benjamin Press.
PAUL F. RUBINSTEIN, assist-
ant general manager of the Jew-
ish Daily Forward, has been elect-
ed general manager of the Yid-
dish-language newspaper. Rubin-
stein has been with the paper
since 1954.

Concert Set Saturday
at Sholem Aleichem
Sholem Aleichem Institute will
hold its "Evening of Jewish
Music" 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the
institute.
Yiddish and Israeli songs, as
well as liturgical compositions and
special selections from master
composers, will be featured on the
program, open at no charge to the
public.
Soloists will be Sidney Resnick,
Anne Jaffe, Shirley Benyas and
Leo Mogul, accompanied by pian-
ist Bella Goldberg.

Mr. and Mrs. Archie Katcher of
Wareham Dr., Huntington Woods,
announce the engagement of their
daughter Louise to Jerry Neal Mc-
Coy, son of Mrs. Rowena McCoy
of Marshall Ave., Southfield, and
the late Earl Richard McCoy. The
bride-elect attended Ball State
University. Mr. McCoy will be
graduated from Michigan State
University's school, of hotel and
restaurant management in June.
