Children to Cooperate
in Fight on Smoking
Dr. Kenneth Corrigan, president
of the - South Oakland County Unit
of the Michigan Cancer Founda-
tion, announced the "Children's
Crusade Against Smoking" is now
under way in the county.
Students of the 4th, 5th and 6th
grades are participating in the
April campaign.
Films and literature on the dan-
gers of smoking will be available
to the schools, and cards are avail-
able for the children of smoking
parents to take home so they might
write to the Michigan Cancer
Foundation for the free Smoker's
Survival Kit,
The kit contains a self-scoring
test for the smoker, a booklet
"How to Quit Smoking by Really
Trying," an I Quit Smoking
pledge card and a lapel button. '
It may be obtained by writing to
the Michigan Cancer Foundation,

Dr. Corrigan also stated that the
Michigan Cancer Foundation pro-
vides to the 4,200,000 of the four
