Rita Sloan Will Solo With Oak Park Symphony

Oak Park Symphony Orchestra,
under the direction of conductor
Jerome Rosen, will present its
final concert of the season 8:30
p.m. April 7 at Oak Park High
School.

Rita Sloan will appear as guest
soloist in the Schumann Piano
Concerto in A Minor.
A former Oak Park resident and
graduate of Oak Park High School,
she was born in Russia and came
to Detroit as a child. Miss Sloan
has studied in Detroit with Julius
Chajes and was graduated from
Julliard School of Music in 1967.
She holds a number of awards.
The orchestra will be featured
in the Beethoven Symphony No. 5
in C Major, commemorating the
Beethoven bicentennial year. They
will also perform the Magic Flute
Overature by Mozart.
Tickets may be purchased in
advance at the Oak Park Corn-
munity Center and Library, Mum-
ford Music, Harrison's Violins and
at the box office.
