Computer Trainee School
to Be Built in Israel
NEW YORK (JTA)—A vocation-
al training institute in Israel to
emphasize computer training will
be established with a $100,000 gift
from Fred Richmond, president of
the Frederick W. Richmond Foun-
dation, it was announced here by
the Religious Zionists of Amer-
ica.
The contribution was made
through Mizra chi-Ha poel Ha miz-
rachi, according to Rabbi Her-
schel Schacter, honorary chairman
of the organization.
The training center, to be known
as the Frederick W. Richmond
Technological Institute, will be
located at Shafir, about 35 miles
from Tel Aviv, The building now
under construction will be finish-
ed in time for the beginning of the
school year next September. It
will provide vocational training in
a number of fields with the stress
on computer technology, Rabbi
Schacter said.
