"Why is there a separate Jewish
War Veterans Organization and
why should we join?"
Some want to know—Shall we
join the American Legion. the Vet-
erans of Foreign Wars, the Amer-
ican Veterans 'Committee, the Am
vets, the Disabled - American Vet-
' erans, and many other legitimate
veteran organizations.
The answer is—OF COURSE!
We urge every member of the
JWV to join a general veterans
organization of his choice. It is
important that as American citi-
zens they make their contribution
to these organizations. As an
American citizen soldier, meeting
together with his fellow citizens
for a common purpose, he follows
the unwritten rule of the JWV in
joining these groups.
The soldier of the Jewish faith
joins the Jewish War Veterans in
addition to the other veteran
groups of his choice just as he be-
longs to any other Jewish organi-
zation which brings co-religionists
together and which considers spe-
cific JEWISH problems.
In the Jewish War Veterans. the
Jewish fighting man is offered
the opportunity of using the com-
bined influence of all for the pur-
pose of making this a better Amer-
ica for Jewish and other minority
groups who have made important
cultural contributions to Ameri-
can life.

JWV was proud to have its
National Commander represent
the organization at the top-flight
Prime Ministers Conference in
Israel.
