No complete statistics of the
number of Jews who fought, but
history records several prominent
names: Col. Nathan Meyers, Capt.
Meyer Moses. Adjt. Isaac Meyers,
Samuel Noah, Benjamin Gratz,
David Metzler, and last but not
least Judah Tuoro. The building
of Bunker Hill Monument was
made possible by the latter's do-
nation of $10,000.00 toward its
erection.

JWV has contributed greatly to
the growth of a sympathetic un-
derstanding of Israel and its prob-
lems on the part of all Americans.
JWV commanders have taken the
national commanders of other na-
tional groups to Israel to promote
understanding and support. JWV
has also spoken out on specific
issues regarding the Middle East
including Soviet penetration of the
Middle East and Africa, Commu-
nist and UAR threats to Israel and
the Middle East and the danger-j
ous impact of the unholy alliance
between the Chinese Reds and the
Palestine Liberation Organization.
