JEWISH

WAR VETERANS WEEK

The Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America, an organization
worthy of all citizens' pride because of their past patriotic service to
this nation, each year seeks to broaden their service efforts throughout
Michigan.

Special recognition is due in this 75th year of the Jewish War Veterans.
The organization demonstrates by actions and deeds the finest tradition
of the American heritage of liberty and justice for all.

These Members are dedicated still to the task they once fought for and
they maintain a steadfast concern for the welfare and betterment of their
families, their communities, the State of Michigan, and the nation.

THEREFORE. I, William G. Milliken, Governor of the State of Michigan, do
hereby proclaim March 22 - 28, 1970, as

JEWISH

WAR VETERANS WEEK

in Michigan, and urge recognition of the outstanding service rendered by
Jewish War Veterans units throughout Michigan and the importance of their
many worthwhile civic activities.
