Laugh-In, America's newest, quick service restaurant is opening
its first Detroit area unit, built by Nosan Building Co., this week is
Troy.
Located across from the Somerset Shopping Plaza at 2855 W.
Maple, Laugh-In is as different from other fast food restaurants as
its name and look implies.
For one thing, its menu is as fast-paced as the format of the
Laugh-In show itself. Instead of limiting choice to just one or two
food specialties, Laugh-In offers a big selection of sandwiches, food
and snacks. The unconventional names include such familiar terms
as Hippyburgers, Fickle Finger (hot dogs) Frix and Frax (fish and
chips), Fry Cry Babies (onion rings) and Very Interesting Subs
(submarine sandwich).
The dining area is a clean, air-conditioned room with back-
ground music, carpets, comfortable chairs and the world's most
unusual tables, featuring humorous graffiti messages.
Although presently open for business, the official grand opea-
ing ceremonies are scheduled to take place March 21.

mittee to study human rights in
the territories occUpied by Israel
announced Unit it. will go to the

Arab countries.- -
The announcement= said; "The
special committee has scheduled a
visit to the occupied territories fol-
lowing its hearings in Cairo, which
are eipected to conclude by April
