LITTLE MARTIN STONER'S
teacher sent a note home to his
parents Alice and Dick Stoner
. . . telling th-rn that he wasn't
cooperating to the fullest in help-
ing his education . . . Alice asked
Martin for an explanation, and he
feplied, "Well, it's like this. She
just doesn't teach anything I want

WHILE FIDING in Eli Springer's
cab last week. Sid Keller spotted
an elderly lady trying to -hail the
taxi he was in . . It was a miser-
able night so Sid asked Eli to
stop and take her where she
wanted to go . . . During a bit of
conversation, the little lady admit-
ted to being 83 years old ... When
they reached her address, Sid. said,
"I'm going to see you safely to
