A new film produced in com-
memoration of the 50th anniver-
sary of the Amalgamated Clothing
Workers of America has been pre-
sented to the Jewish Community
Council by the Retail and Depart-
ment Store Employes Union.
The film, titled "The Inherit-
ance," is available to organiza-
tions, clubs and classrooms by con-
tacting the program service depart-
ment of the Community Council,
962-1880.
"The Inheritance" tells the color-
ful story of not only the union, led
from its inception by Jewish labor
leaders, but also the wave of Jew-
ish migration in the early 1900s.

WASHINGTON—Bnai Brith has
proposed establishment of a nation-
al holiday to holior America's vol-
unteer worker.
In a recommendation presented
to Max A. Fisher, White House
consultant on voluntary action, the
organization's national commission
on community and veterans ser-
vices called on President Nixon to
convene a special conference of
major volunteer groups and -lead-
ing individuals in volunteer work
to consider the manner and method
in which such a holiday should be
observed .
1'69 Bond Sales Increase
WASHINGTON—Bnai Brith re-
ported Israel Bond sales of $12,-
463,010 in 1969, a 14 per cent in-
crease over 1968 totals.
This marked the third consecu-
tive year in which Bnai Brith Bond
purchases have exceeded $10,000,-
000, Billy B. Goldberg of Houston,
chairman of the Bnai Brith Cabinet
on Israel Affairs, said. Sales were
$10,914,400 in 1968 and $13,728,270 in
1967.
