Cherubs to Be Aided Through Ball
Sponsored by Infants Service,

The Cherub Ball, so named by
Infants Service Group to show the
organization's interest in needy and
handicapped children, will be held
6:30 p.m. March 22 at the Latin
Quarter.
This annual champagne dinner-
dance, planned by chairman Mrs.
Harry Antman and entertainment
chairman Mrs. David Risemau,
will raise funds for Infants Service
Group's many philanthropies.
The organization was founded
in 1934 by six women, one of
whom had lost a child. Seek-
ing to erect a monument, not in
concrete but in good deeds, they
began with service to indigent
mothers, who could not afford
layettes - and proper care for
their babies.

which the group is raising funds
for a second kidney machine and
weighing bed at the new Renal
Center of Children's Hospital; and
now, a new field. of interest: Sy-
nanon House, where . youhg drug
addicts are being rehabilitated.
In explaining its involvement in
the latter project, Mrs. Edwin
Roth, president, said the group
feels such aid will help young
adults "become proper parents to
the babies who will be coming into
the world."

sical music program soon will be
syndicated, announced his resigna-
tion Tuesday as Interlochen Arts
Academy and National Music
Camp president. Haas, 56, cited a
"deep philosophical cleavage" be-
tween himself and members of the
board of trustees, who felt he had
