Residents of New Nursing
Home Help Run Facility

MONTREAL (JTA) - Residents
of the new Jewish Nursing Home
will help to run the institution
which has a kitchen on each of its

two floors open to residents and

their visitors. This arrangement
is part of a program to provide
as much of a home-like atmos-
phere as is possible in such a

facility. Another feature is a pro-
vision that nurses do not wear uni-
forms.
The new institution, located on
the grounds of the Jewish Hospital
of Hope here, was converted from
a former nurses' residence. It was
opened for admission in January.
More than 150 applications were
received by early December for
the home's 44 beds and additional
applications have continued to be
made since.
