Judge Lawrence Gubow, Council president, will preside. In his address, Band will report on the most recent developments with respect to U.S. policy in the Middle East, including terrorist attacks on airlines serving Israel. Band served as a major spokes- man at the recent national emer- gency conference which was held to voice concern over indications that traditional U.S support for direct Arab-Israeli peace negotia- tor had "eroded." In addition, Band will examine the growth and impact of anti- Israel propaganda in the U.S., and American Jewish Committee and is a member of the national steer- ing committee of the Urban Coali- tion.
