weekend at Camp Tamarack, Or-
tonville, April 3-5.
- The Oakland association, a
branch of Atid, the national col-
lege-age United Synagogue Youth
organization, plans to explore the
Shabat, using music and creative
ideas.
Kiefer said Jewish students from
throughout Michigan are invited.
The cost of the weekend includes
all kosher meals and heated cabins
and lodge. Participants are asked ,
to bring warm clothes and their
own bedding.

A $3 deposit must be mailed

Participants for the weekend will
be at Camp Tamarack by 4 p.m.

Special Vacation Passes

The Jewish Center announces it
will issue a special vacation pass
to young adults presently attending
a college or university.
The passes, are to be sold at the
cashier's window, will entitle the
student to use the Center's physical
education and pool facilities at any
time during his vacation, when ac-
tivities are scheduled for that age
group. Students must bring appro-
priate identification in order to
purchase the pass.

Rabbi Pinchas M. Teitz, educa-
tor and spiritual leader of the
Elizabeth, N.J., community since
1935, will be guest speaker at the
annual banquet of the Council of
Orthodox Rabbis 6 p.m. March 15
at the Detroit Hilton Hotel.
Rabbi Teitz is the founder of
the Mesivta of New Jersey and
Bruriah High School for girls. In
1953, Rabbi Teitz founded the Daf ,
llashovua Talmudic Seminar, a
weekly Talmud broadcast with out-
lets in New York, Miami, Chicago,
Montreal, Boston and throughout
Europe and Israel.
He also founded National Bas-
Kol Talmudic Association, issu-
ing long-playing records of Tal-
mud in Yiddish and English. He
was a member of the presidium
