Serving the World's Finest Steaks, Chops and Sea Foods for Coach House, a new apartment- townhouse community on Provi- dence Dr., north of Nine Mile, in Southfield, is offering apartment seekers a choice of living accom- modations with five different floor plans: two in the one-bedroom category, two in the two-bedroom and a two-bedroom townhouse. Rentals range from $215 for the one-bedroom apartment to $310 for the townhouse. Built by Edward Rose and Sons and managed and leased by the Beznos Co., Coach House offers the only townhouses in the North- land area, where emphasis is on apartments. Therefore, the builders felt there was an unfilled demand for townhouses, especially due to the proximity of Providence Hos- pital and Northland, and the con- tinued growth of office buildings in Southfield." Each apartment and townhouse includes shag carpeting through- out, an all-electric kitchen with built-in range with self-cleaning oven, two-door frost-free refrigera- tor, dishwasher and disposer, in- dividually controlled central heat- ing and air-conditioning, insulated glass windows and sound condi- tioning, color-coordinated bathroom with vanity, complete laundry facilities and storage area in the apartment basement level and a full-time maintenance staff. All units have a separate dining room in addition to a kitchen with eat- ing area. The townhouses have a com- pletely finished family room in the lower level. The partitioned laun- dry allows for ample storage. Furnished models are open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment. Israel's First Musical Film Opens in NY; Israeli Play Opened in City Earlier NEW YORK (JTA) — Israel's prize winning first musical film, "The Flying Matchmaker," had its New York premier Feb. 4. This zestful, humorous, vigorous, and robust story about "Marriage- Jewish Style" kindled warmth among the first nighters. The film, based on Abraham Goldfaden's play, "The Two Kouny Lemels," is the second theatrical contribution to this city from Is- rael within the last two weeks. The first offering was the off- Broadway production of "Unfair to Goliath" which was warmly praised by critics as exhuding the charm, wit and vitality of the Israelis. The play is based on a series of sketches written by the Hungarian-born satirist and play- right, Ephriam Kishon. The motion picture, which won five Israeli Knor Davids (Oscars) and is Israel's costliest film to date, is set in an east European "shtetl" of tradition bound Jews where weddings are the prime source of excitement and entertainment. Historic Road Recalls Bravery of 35 Boys KFAR ETZION—Relatives of the Palmach soldiers (the old "Lamed Heh") killed on their way to relieve the beleaguered Etzion Bloc during the War of Independ- ence were taken for the first time to the hill on which the final battle took place 22 years ago. To facilitate access to the site, which is adjacent to the 'green line" in the Jerusalem Corridor, the Jewish National Fund cut a road branching off from the patrol road along the pre-1967 Jordanian border. The exact location of the battle had been unknown to the Israelis until an investigation was begun by instructors of the Kfar Etzion Field School after the Six-Day War. Of the hundreds of Arabs inter- viewed, many remembered the battle which raged for over nino hours until the 35 boys were over- whelmed by a force of thousands 35 of armed Arabs.
