Jerusalem Hospital Gets 'A' in Drill

The doctor pictured here can afford to smile—the "emergency"
is an exercise in which some three dozen "wounded" volunteer boy and
girl scouts took part at Shaare Zedek Hospital, Jerusalem. The drill
came as a surprise to the hospital, which immediately alerted all staff
and brought in those who had left for the day to care for the children,
with arm, leg,
chest, neck and
head "wounds."
At the end of the
hour's practice,
the army officer
in command re-
ported that "De-

tions, this hospi-

to cope with the
situation com-
pletely. He de-
scribed the op-
eration as "extremely efficient" and "most satisfactory." During the
Six-Day War, Shaare Zedek engaged in real emergencies in similar
fashion. Friends of the hospital here will hold a dinner to benefit the
institution 6:30 p.m. March 1 at the Young Israel Center of Oak-Woods.
For reservations, call Dr. Hugo Mandelbaum, 863-8904, or Alex Roberg,
