A YEAST CAKE

There are times when you feel
like making a whole production out
of a cake, with frosting, decorating
and the works. Other times, you
are in the mood for a good, simple
yeast cake—the cake that you can
enjoy at breakfast instead of
bread, or serve with coffee with-
ou much formality.
If you are in the "yeast cake
mood"—here is a recipe for it. Our
cake is light and has a nice and
even t ex t u r e. It is pleasingly
sweet, and yet will agree with
some icing or jam spread on it.
1/2 cup warm water

41/2 to 5 cups regular flour
