LETTER BOX
Diplomatic Double-Talk
on Mid East Criticized
Editor, The Jewish News:
The Four Powers that are try-
ing to find a formula for peace in
the Middle East are like robbers
who apologize for stealing you
blind.
Translation of the "even-hand-
ed" foreign policy of the United
States: "We don't care how many
people die in the world, as long as
they are not Americans."
Fair enough, as long as our
State Department keeps their
dirty hands out of it. And their
hands are dirty—dirty with the
blood of 6,000,000 Jews, 2,000,-
000 Biafrans, 1,000,000 Blacks
in Sudan and thousands of Hun-
garians they encouraged to re-
volt while standing by as they
were massacred.
We can do without the diplo-
matic double-talk that offers sym-
pathy on one hand and consents to
genocide on the other. The crux of
the matter is the reluctance to
give up the sterotype of the cring-
ing Jew, completely -ignoring that
when they were able to fight as
a group they were the greatest
warriors the world has ever
known.

The Jewish News Pulls
Editor, The Jewish News
I felt that I had to write to you
to tell you the tremendous impact
your publication has on its read-
ers.
You were good enough to publish
an item about the free wallet-sized
booklet that we have compiled on
"Maimonides Shows the Way."
You will recall that we offered
this booklet free to all those who
send in a request accompanied by
a stamped, self-addressed enve-
lope. To date, we can trace close
to 300 requests to your publica-
tion. I think this shows that the
people you have among your
readers have a great deal of faith
in your paper, and read it thor-
oughly.
At the same time, may I say
that we still have an additional
supply of this leaflet to give away.
I think that your readers will find
it very useful.
Thank you very much for your
cooperation.
Sincerely,
RUBIN R. DOBIN, Chairman
