Rabbi Zeitin Resigns

Rabbi Josef Zeitin has resigned
from his post as spiritual leader
of Cong. Beth Isaac, Trenton, The
Jewish New's learned this week.
He has taken a pulpit in Odessa,
Tex.
Rabbi Zeitin focused much of his
work on interfaith relations and
spoke to a number of church and
Christian lay groups in the Down-
river area.
Until the congregation acquires
the services of a new rabbi, mem-
bers are conducting the services
and teaching the religious school
classes.

brated at a banquet of the Coun-
cil of Orthodox Rabbis and Merkaz
March 15 at the Statler-Hilton
Hotel.
Representatives of the Orthodox
congregations of metropolitan De-
troit, as well as Mount Clemens,
Windsor and Toledo, and com-
munal organizations of the city,
will join for this event.

vises are: 19 shohetim, 13 mash-
gihim, 7 slaughter houses, 25
butcher shops, a sausage factory,
7 caterers, 2 bakeries, a pastry
shop, Sinai Hospital kosher kitchen
and Jewish Center snack bar. Also
for Passover, the Vaad supervises
3 dairies, a seltzer company, 3
beverage companies and a soap
company.
