He was associated with the trade union movements in New York, and in 1947 became a resi- dent of Detroit. Detroit Hasidim to Be at Yarzeit Observance of Lubavitcher Rebbe A chartered bus will carry 35 Detroit Hasidim to New York for N the commemoration Saturday eve- ning of the 19th yarzeit of the late Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Joseph I. Schneersohn, who died on the 10th of Shevat, 1950. Rabbi Schneersohn headed the Lubavitcher movement from 1920, through a turbulent period in Jew- ish history. The 10th of Shevat also marks the completion of 20 years' leader- ship by his son-in-law and succes- sor, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneer- sohn, the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
