Shaarey Zedek: and attorney Rolland O'Hare. chairman of the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan. A professor in the Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Sherman is researching gyneco- logical cancer, endocrinology of reproduction and cytogenetics. Dr. Sherman, a graduate of the University of Toronto, was a faculty member of Washington University in St. Louis for 20 years before coming to Detroit in _1967. While in St. Louis, he served on the boards of the Jew- ish Center and Bnai Amoona Congregation. Rabbi Groner. ordained by the Hebrew Theological College in Chicago. is a member of the board of overseers of the Jewish Theo- logical Seminary, Michigan Re- gional Cabinet of the Anti-Defama- tion League and vice president of the Southfield Clergy Associaition. He is active in a seminar he de- veloped on "Judaism and the Ethics of Medicine." O'Hare, a 1952 graduate of the Wayne State University Law School. is a member of the State Bar committee on civil liberties. The average retirement benefit of 6100 a month will rise to $116 per month: a couple 65 or older receiving the average couple's benefit of $170, will have their benefit increased to $196: the average benefit for a family made up of a disabled worker, wife and one or more children will go up from $237 to $273; and average payments for a widow and two or more children will rise from $254 to $292.
