Jack Tanenbaum, retired founder
and owner of the former Bond Iron
and Metal Co., died Dec. 13 at age
68.
Mr. Tanenbaum, 903 Arlington
NE, was a native of New York but
came to Grand Rapids as a boy.
He founded his firm in 1933, retir-
ing in 1966 when the firm also went
out of business.
He was .a member of Cong.
Ahavas Israel, Julius Ilouseman
Lodge of Bnai Brith. Kent County
Consevration League and the
Grand Rapids Museum Associa-
tion.
Surviving are his wife, Lillian;
two daughters, Mrs. Morton (Bar-
bara) Finkelstein and Mrs. Dennis
(Sheila) Kiper of San Francisco;
and two sisters, Mrs. Sidney Stone
and Mrs. Irving Mitchell of Holl•-
wood.

Casework Services

MEMPHIS (JTA) — The Jewish
Service Agency of Memphis has
extended its services by an agree- ,
ment with the Jewish Community
Center to provide a caseworker at
the center for a half day each
week. Officials said that a staff
psychologist also would be assign-
ed for an afternoon each week at
the center. Officials said the ar-
rangement would make it possible
to provide services to people closer
to their homes.
