Donation Day to End
Temple Blood Bank Drive

A blood bank drive launched by
Temple Israel Dec. 1 will culmin-
ate Dec. 29 with a mass donation
day at temple. The social hall will
temporarily be turned into an1
American Red Cross blood collec-
tion center, and members are be-
ing asked to donate a pint of blood
to the cause. -
In return for a total of 340
pints collected, American Red
Cross will guarantee all 1,700
and
Temple Israel members
their families immediate and un-
limited supplies of blood should
the need arise.

"Similar blood banks have been
established at other temples
throughout the country," stated
Rabbi Leon Fram, "and after care-'
ful investigation, it was decided ;
that this would be a worthwhile
. program to offer our Temple Is-
rael family . . . Participants not
only contribute by saving the lives
of others, but also protect them-
selves and their families."

Frugality too has a limit, and to
disregard it is just as wrong as to
err through excess.—Epicurus
