General Chairman, 1970 Flint United Jewish Appeal Campaign

At this time, when Jews of the free world celebrated the
'i!:; Festival of the Lights, let us give thought to our fellow-Jews
waiting in the darknesS of oppression. We in the United States
must also give thought to our noble and courageous brethren
in Israel fighting for their very survival—for their right to exist
as a free people—against enormous odds.
Let us join together at this festival season and assure Jews

everywhere that we have not forgotten them and shall not
forget them..Let us together say to them: We Hear You Israel.
