JNF Women's Pre-Donor Rally
Marks Opening of Year's Drive
The pre-donor rally and IIanuka
celebration of the Women of Jew-
ish National Fund set for noon
Tuesday, at Cong. Bnai Moshe will
feature the Bel Canto Choral
Group, conducted by Dan Braude
and accompanied on the piano by
Mrs. Herman Stein, in a program
of Hanuka songs. Dessert luncheon
will be served.
According to Mrs. William Levin,
fund-raising chairman and past
president, the Women of JNF
have adopted an additional objec-
tive—the planting of a forest of
10,000 trees or more to commemo-
rate this, their 40th annual donor
event. The forest will be located

Courage project, between Gadot
and Gonen, both of which are at
the foot of the Golan Heights, part
of the Greater Detroit Women's
over-all project of development.
Mrs. Levin pointed out that both
strategic kibutzim were bordering
on Jordan and Syria until the Six-
Day War. Both took heavy beat-
ings from the Syrians on the Golan
Heights and from the Jordanians
for many years. The Pillars,
which, according to Mrs. Levin,
are the testimonial to the dote:-

Mrs. Levin said that about 150
Detroiters have honored them-
selves, or near ones, or the mem-

yet cleared, also are asked to bring
