Hungarian Proselyte,
'12 Tribes' Settle in Israel

KEAR SABA (ZINNS) — In the
town of Kfar Saba, not far from
Petah Tikva, there lives an Hun-
garian peasant and recent convert
to Judaism, named Abraham
Avner Pusti.
Pusti completed his conversion
to Judaism last year. along with
his wife Martha, now renamed
Ruth, and his 12 children.
The family hopes to make its
contribution in Israel on the land,
applying its accumulated expertise
in agriculture. The Pusti children
proudly bear their new Hebrew
names and are known throughout
Kfar Saba as the "12 tribes."
