Distribution of enrollment ap- plications for the first all-day school under Reform auspices has been started by its sponsor, Rodeph Sholom Temple of New York, one of the nation's largest Reform congregations. A brochure issued with the ap- plication forms said the day school would be open to "all pupils who qualify for its academic re- quirements, regardless of faith or origin." The brochure said that the co- educational school would begin next September with a pilot pro- ject of two classes, kindergarten and first grade. Each year there- after, one more grade will be added, with "the guarantee of a complete educational unit of seven years of schooling — kindergarten through sixth grade—provided for the initial pilot classes." Council of Synagogues to Convene in Israel The World Council of Synagogues will hold its next biennial conven- tion in Israel, June 22-25, it was announced by Morris Speizman of Charlotte, N.C., president of the global body.
