The members of Bicur Cholem
have participated in many hospi-

rapport with the patients, many
of whom have no family. The
group also helped establish the
gift shop and continues to serv-

funds with apron sales, a donor
luncheon and yearbook and

in any available office or meeting

With 60 - 70 Jewish patients at
various times in the hospital, Rab-
bi Gruskin felt that a chapel would
do much for their Morale. He
approached Bicur Cholem, a wom-
en's organiaztion of fewer than 100
members, which has given many
hours' volunteer service at the hos-
pital. The women agreed to raise
the funds, and under the chairman-
, ship of Mrs. Abe Bookstein, chapel
chairman, they have contributed
some $8,000 to $10,000 for the con-
version and maintenance of the
chapel. They also supply the funds
for Rabbi Gruskin to purchase
kosher products for patients who
observe kashrut.
