Mr. and Mrs. Allen Kraft of
Tavistock Tr., Southfield, announce
the engagement of their daughter
Marlene Beth Lewis to Dr. Law-
rence W. White, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Manuel White of Patchogue,
N.Y.
Miss Lewis, daughter of the late
Mr. Nathan Lewis, holds a BA de-
gree in political science from the
University of Michigan and pres-
ently attends Eastern Michigan
University's graduate school of
education. Dr. White is a graduate
of the University of Rochester,
N.Y. and the Chicago College of
Osteopathy.
A March 7 wedding is planned.

Sponsor Annual
Synagogue Bazaar

The Sisterhood of Beth Israel
Congregation, Ann Arbor, will hold
its annual bazaar 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Sunday in the social hall at 1429
Hill.
Lunch will be served and hand
made items, toys, antiques, house
plants and home-made baked
goods and candies will be offered
for sale.
There will be a candle-making
demonstration by Mrs. T. S.
Daniel and a decoupage demon-
stration by Mrs. Barry W. Sheldon.
The work of both these Ann Arbor
artisans will be for sale, as well as
jewelry hand made by Mrs. Uri
Levitan of Israel.
There will be new and used

books for sale, a white elephant
booth, prizes and a fish pond
with prizes for children. Mrs.
Paul I. Pressel, chairman, said
the bazaar is open to the public
at no charge.

Mrs. Pressel's co-chairman is
Mrs. Jarvis Franzblau, and chair-
men of the booths are Mesdames
Abe Ingber, Seymonur Gilman,
Joseph Dubin, Ernst Fontheim,
William Best, Jack Fagin, Manfred
Katz and Herbert Paper and Mr.
and Mrs. Isidor Margolis.

America, will present the seventh
annual Myrtle Wreath Achieve-
ment Awards for distinguished
contributions in their fields to his-
torian Dr. Salo W. Baron, profes-
sor emeritus of Columbia Univer-
sity; to the Visiting Nurse Service
of New York; to Dorothy Gordon,
founder and moderator of the na-
tional TV and radio forum, "Youth
Wants to Know," and to Emily
Genauer, art critic, lecturer and
writer.
The citations will be bestowed
by Mrs. Max Schenk, national
president of Hadassah, at the
Myrtle Wreath Awards Brunch
Dec. 1 in the grand ballroom of
