Music Study Club's
Annual Concert
Music Study Club of Detroit will
hold a pre-concert musicale tea
noon Tuesday at the home of Mrs.
Milton J. Miller, 17580 Fairway.
Mrs. Jacob S. Sauls, past presi-
dent and current scholarship com-
mittee chairman of the club, said

Now in its 45th year, Music
Study Club has presented some
47 young musicians many of whom
have received national and inter-
national recognition in their field.
Among them are Martha Lipton,
vocalist with the Metropolitan
Opera; Jerome Rosen, violinist
and concert master of the Detroit
Symphony; Ruth Meckler Laredo,
pianist; Joseph Silverstein, violin-
ist and concertmaster of the Bos-
ton Symphony; Muriel Greenspan,
operatic singer who received ac-
claim in Italy this past summer;
and Itzhak Perlman, and Pinchas
Zukerman, renowned violinists.
The two artists who will ap-
pear at the concert this year are
Isidor Saslav, violinist and pres-
ently co-concertmaster with
Mischa Mischakoff of the Balti-
more Symphony; and Maria
Ewing, Detroit - born mezzo-so-
prano who recently won the dis-
trict competitions of the Metro-
politan Opera.
Mrs. Joseph M. Markel. presi-
dent, announces the following key

coordinator; Max Reich, concert
chairman; Morris Rosman and
Sigmund Cohen. patron co-chair-
