NCJW Thrift Shops a Big Business — and a Big Service

One Jewish shop in a Midwest
inner city hit by riots last year
emerged totally untouched from
the ordeal despite the fact that it
was on the "hottest block" of the
upheavals. It is one of the more

en and National Council of Ne-
gro Women, is a volunteer effort
aimed at the girl, age 16-22, out
of school and out of work with
little hope for her future. WICS
recruits and screens young
women for the job corps train-
ing centers, where they can ac-
quire an education and develop
personal, social and vocational
skills.

here Tuesday at which announce-

ment of an Edith Rosenthal
Scholarship Fund for women in
community service.
Mrs. Rosenthal, 18945 Muirland,
was honored for her outstanding
contribution to the WICS organi-
zation. The money will be used
to assist Job Corp graduates.
