Samuel S. Greenberg, a leader

president. He was the founder and

Workshop. A member of both

Beth El, he served on the execu-
tive committee of the Jewish Wel-
fare Federation, was a board mem-
ber of United Jewish Charities, was
active on the special gifts commit-
tee of Federation and served in its
community relations division.

Wilbur DeYoung, assistant state
attorney general for 12 years, died
Monday at age 65.

Nadine V. Hertz, mother of Dr.
Richard C. Hertz of Temple Beth
El, died Oct. 1 in Chicago. She was
74.
Mrs. Hertz, wife of the late
Abram J. Ilertz, resided in Mil-
waukee for the past 39 years.
There, she was a member of Tem-
ple Emanu-El Bnai Jeshurun,
Council of Jewish Women and the
Jewish Center.
Born in Silver City, N.M., Mrs.
Hertz was the youngest daughter
of Henry and Jennie Rosenberg,
pioneer settlers who went west on
the Santa Fe Trail in the 1870s. She
grew up in New York City and was
married in St. Paul, where she
lived 15 years.
Surviving besides her son Rich-
ard, are a son, Frederick J. of
