NEW YORK (JTA) — Thirty- three Americans and Canadians have joined the faculty of Bar Ilan University, an American-sponsored ; institution of higher learning at Ramat Gan, near Tel Aviv. Ac- cording to an announcement by ' the university's administrative of- • fice here, they comprise the larg- est group of American and Cana- ' dian academicians to join the Bar Ilan staff in a single academic year. Twelve of the new faculty mem- bers come from New York. The rest are from 10 states and On- tario. Their specialties include science, economics, mathematics, English, education, foreign lan- guages, political science, psychol- ogy and Bible. Bar Ilan, founded in 1955, has a current enrollment of 4,500 students in 28 under-graduate and post-graduate departments and a faculty of over 600. * * The annual dinner of the Detroit Friends of Bar-Ilan University will be held Dec. 3 at Cong.
