Forty-two women's organizations
comprising the Heart of Gold
Award Council are joining forces
to single out those who have made
unusual and outstanding volunteer
contributions to the metropolitan
Detriot community.
Working in cooperation with
Women for the United Foundation
tWUF), the council is planning its
third annual award ceremony and
luncheon for Feb. 10 in Cobo Hall.
Plans for the third award
luncheon were announced by the
council's chairman. Mrs. Joseph
L. Hudson Jr.. of Grosse Pointe.

An analysis of the educational
crisis in Michigan and the gover-
nor's education reform proposals'
will be broadcast on two 90-minute!
television specials as a public
service sponsored by the Metro-
politan Task Force on Education.

The National Council of Jewish
Women, Detroit Section, will par-
ticipate in the programs, schedul-
ed for 4:30 p.m. Sunday and 8 p.m.
Tuesday, both on Channel 56.

charge of hospitality for the pro-
gram participants and television
crew Sunday and Tuesday.

To make the citizens of Mich-
igan aware of the issues and the

necessity for reform, there will be
two panels of experts taking part
in "Educational Reform: a Price
on Survival." On Sunday, the

(Makes 2 loaves)
4'a cups unsifted whole wheat flour
2'4 cups unsifted white flour

3 tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons salt
2 packages Fleischmann's Active
Dry Yeast
1)2 cups water
• cup milk
cup molasses
▪ cup Fleischmann's Margarine

Combine water. milk, molasses and
Fleischmann's Margarine in a saucepan.
Heat over low heat until liquids are
warm. )Margarine does not need to
melt.) Gradually add to dry ingredients
and beat 2 minutes at medium speed of
electric mixer. scraping sides of bowl
occasionally. Add cup flour mixture,
or enough flour mixture to make a
thick batter. Beat at high speed 2 min-
utes, scraping bowl occasionally. Stir in
enough additional flour mixture to -
make a soft dough. ilf necessary, add
additional white flour to obtain desired
dough.) Turn dough out onto lightly
floured board. Knead until smooth and •
elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes. Place in
greased bowl, turning to grease top.
