to Perform Benefit

Students of the Interlochen Arts
Academy Orchestra will lend their
talents to the support of the De-
troit Symphony Orchestra by per-
forming a special concert 3:30
p.m. Nov. 16 at Ford Auditorium.
Under the direction of Nicholas
Harsanyi, the 84-member Academy
Orchestra, whose players average
less than 16 years old, will perform
the Mozart Overture to - The Ab-
duction from the Seraglio." Roger
Sessions' "Black Maskers" Suite
and the Carl Nielsen Symphony
No. 2.
The Interlochen Arts Academy

now in its eighth year, is a divi-
sion of the Interlochen Center for

the Arts, whose president is Dr.
Karl Haas, an internationally ac-
claimed authority on cultural
affairs and director of fine arts
for WJR Radio. The center also
includes the famous National Mu-
sic Camp, which will begin its
43rd season in 1970, and the pro-
posed College of Creative Arts.
Area chairmen for the concert
benefit include Mrs. Eugene Agins
of Oak Park.
Tickets for the concert (seating
unreserved) are available at Ford
Auditorium, all Grinnell's and all
Hudson's. Student tickets (balcony)
are available at Ford Auditorium
and at Wayne State University.
