'Torch Drive Gets Pre-Campaign Boost

Mrs. Charles Levy has been ap-
pointed to assist the headmaster of
Ilillel Day School in the adminis-
tration of the school, it was an-
nounced by Robert Kasle, chair-
man of the school's personnel com-

Mrs. Hauser Describes
Mid East Refugee Plight

In an evaluative report on the
conditions of refugees in the
Middle East, Mrs. Rita Hauser,
speaking Tuesday to an overflow
audience of Hadassah women, de-
scribed her findings among both
the newcomers to Israel and the
Arab refugees.
Emphasizing the human needs,
she indicated that there is a great
need for action to solve problems
involving Jews who had come to
Israel from Moslem countries as
well as the Arab refugees.
In her description Of the condi-
tions of Arabs in territories occu-
pied by Israel after the Six-i);'
War. Mrs. liauser asserted that
she found the prisons to be clean,
well kept and the Arabs well

con lace, designed with a man-
darin neck, short sleeves, and
Aline skirt. Bodice and sleeves
were trimmed with seed pearls
and crystals and a hemline of
lace ended in a chapel train.
A half•hat of matching lace
trimmed with seed pearls and
crystals held her chapel-length
veil of illusion. She carried a
bouquet of roses and Stephanotis
on her confirmation Bible.
Cheryl Shapiro served her sister
as maid of honor. Bridesmaids
were Elaine Beresh, Sharla Gould,
Paula Lichtig, Helene Friedman.

Lawrence Beresh served his
brother as best man, and ushers
included Sanford Siporin, David
Kaplan, Drew Lieberwitz, Harvey

The couple honeymooned in Mi-
