LONDON (JTA)—The Anglo-
Israel Friendship League held its
inaugural meet ing in the South-
gate Town Hall ignoring threats
from Arab terrorist groups here.
The League is composed of non-
Jewish groups interested in fur-
tbering Anglo-Israeli friendship.
The meet ing was addressed by
Sir- Stephen McAddon, a Conser-
vative member of Parliament, and
Moshe Davis. educational director
of the .TewiSh National Fund here.
About 40 persons. applied for mem-
bership.

rented a three-story house at 146

The first floor houses a syna-
gogue, kitchen and dining room.
while the second and third floors
contain bedrooms for resident stu-
dents. The kitchen and dining
room have been established through
a Young Israel loan and through a
gift from Mr. and Mrs. Max Biber.
They will be operated under the
supervision of Rabbi James Gor-
don of Young Israel of Oak-Woods,
Oak Park.
Two meal plans are offered: a
term program of 60 meals for $30
and single meals by reservation at
$1.50 each.

bavitch Youth Organization, a
center has been established, with
synagogue facilities to accom-
modate 40.50. A library of reli-
gious books has been started by
Charles Feinberg of Detroit.

Among the activities planned for
the coming year are classes for
the children of faculty members,
a twice-weekly student-faculty
Mishna study group and a lecture
series. For information on this pro-
gram, call the house or Detroit
area Lubavitcher center, 398-2611.
All MSU students and faculty, as
well as Lansing-East Lansing resi-
dents are invited to drop in,

Alfred Klein, president of the
Flint Jewish Community Council,
Louis Kasle, Joseph Megdell and
Edward Osher will be in New York
Monday to meet and hear the
prime minister of Israel, Mrs.
Golda Meir.
Klein stated that "this is not
only a rare opportunity to gain
first-hand information on the cur-
rent Middle East situation, but
also a privilege to meet a woman
who has gained the admiration and
respect of the entire world. We
hope to be able to bring back and
impart some of the drive and con-
viction that has enabled this out-
standing lady to guide Israel
through the troubled waters of
growth and independence," he
said.
