As teacher (he's on the New
York University faculty) and
analyst, the Ginot material has
the combined forcefulness of en-
tertainment, information, advice
and guidance.
There is splendor in the quoted

mothers, fathers, and he knows
"the limits of logic."
Talk about the mother—of what-
ever religious persuasion! Ginot
knows how to judge her—and also
the father. He judges the parents
and the children and he reaches
conclusions that should arouse in-
terest, caution and concern over
relationships.
He has a nice piece about all
parents and in "I feel sorry for my
parents" he quotes 18-year-old
Stuart:
9 feel sorry for my parents.
They have wasted their lives
dreaming money. My father does
not live life, he calculates it. He
adds and subtracts and invests
desperately. He is full of facts
and figures—a regular IBM com-
puter. My mother too shares his
search for gold. But she is dis-
illusioned and bitter. Deep inside
herself she knows how little they
have lived."
So, as indicated here, we also
have marked seriousness in Ginot's

Eban to Head
Delegation to UN

JERUSALEM (JTA) — Foreign
Minister Abba Eban will leave for
New York after the High Holy
Days to head the Israeli delegation
at the fall session of the UN Gen-
eral Assembly.
Three major issues that are
expected to dominate talks in
Washington when Prime Minister
Golda Meir and Eban visit that
capital later this month are the
subject of continuing consulta-
tions here with Ambassador
Brink Rabin and foreign minis-
try experts.
The three questions are the eco-
nomic aid Israel needs from the
United States so that this country
can withstand the prolonged state
of warfare without all-out war
which the Arab states have now
decided to wage against Israel;
the arms necessary to enable Is-
rael to maintain the qualitative
superiority which its government
regards as the greatest deterrent
to all-out war; and the ticklish
question of how to prevent an ero-
sion of the American stand on the
Middle East situation, if progress
toward peace is not made and the
present state of affairs drags on
for a long time.
In New York, Mayor John V.
Lindsay has named Dore Schary,
former chairman of the Bnai Brith
Anti-Defamation League, to be "in
charge" of plans for the visit of
Mrs. Meir to this city on Sept. 29-
30. Schary, the mayor said, would
coordinate efforts with John S.
Palmer, the city's commissioner of
public events, and with Israeli gov-
ernment officials.
