Pilot Medical Center Seeks To Influence
Medicine and Science Throughout World

Research Grants

Resognition has been given to its
outstanding clinical and basic re-
search. Grants of about two million
dollars a year come from the Na-
tional Institutes of Health, the Na-
tional Science Foundation and
other agencies to the more than 100
research projects presently under
way at the City of Hope. U. S.
government agencies have sponsor-
ed and subsidized international
scientific conferences at the City
of Hope. Every year. at the request

Limited in previous
years by smaller sur-

admission charge. this affair is given
in support of the City of Hope, a can-
cer research center and non-sectarian
hospital entirely free of fees to the
