Displaying the artists rendering of the new Adas Shalom Syna-

chairman Max Biber. Ground was broken Sunday for the new syna-
gogue building at Middlebelt and 13 Mile Rd., Farmington Township.
Governor Milliken and Rabbi Segal were principal speakers. The new
structure is scheduled for completion in summer 1971. Building
co-chairmen are Samuel Hechtman and Nathan Goldin.

$150,000 Bond Sale at Bnai David Fete

The Bnai David testimonial dinner, honoring Cantor Hyman J.
Adler, resulted in 5150,000 in Israel Bond subscriptions. Pictured are

Rabbi Hayim Donin, who gave the tribute; standing, Robert Brody,
Israel Bond general chairman; Morris J. Brandwine, dinner chair-
man; Dr. Maurice M. Silverman, toastmaster; Joey Russell, guest
star; and Mayor Norman Feder of Southfield, who presented Cantor
Adler with a proclamation setting the day as Cantor Adler Day. Can-
tor Simon Bermanis, president of the Cantors and Ministers Asso-
ciation, presented greetings and Cantor Jacob H. Sonenklar and Louis
Klein sang selections in tribute to Cantor Adler who was honored for
his nearly 25 years of service to Bnai David and the Jewish commu-
nity.
