"More than 50.000 will enroll in the ORT schools in 21 countries during the new year now begin- ning. the largest enrollment in al- most 90 years of ORT's existence," Dr. William Haber. president of American ORT Federation, stated in a New Year mesage. He added: "In part, this is a measure of the hunger to join the new tech- nology by acquiring its skills, and in another part, it is an indication of the hope to lift the standards of life and opportunity through education in the ORT schools. The , instruction provided however, must prepare them for the occupations emerging from the new technology, and the schools must be renovated accordingly. "The ORT program in Israel will open new schools, introduce new ' courses and methods of teaching for the tens of thousands who will become the generation that will secure the nation's future. But !tens of thousands of other youth in Israel will still be waiting for place to include them, too." ; A wife is to thank God her hus- band has faults; a husband with- out faults is a dangerous observer. —Lord Halifax.
