Instead of sticking to its knit- ting, performing the functions for which the community supports it, namely, protection of the Jewish ' community against unwarranted aspersions and attacks, it seems to be dissipating its energies much like Don Quixote, tilting at wind- mills. Community support for ADL, purportedly an arm of Bnai Brith, is based only on its primary pur- pose. It is not intended to be a ;gadfly of liberalism or any other ism. We have enough troubles taking care of our own without getting involved in matters which, while I possibly of primary interest to a great many people, are not, by definition, Jewish problems.
