FRIEDMAN "My contact with the B'nai Moshe Religious School for the past ten years has offered me not only an opportunity to study Judaism but to create many Jewish friends who have the same interests and outlook as I have. The many personal re- lationships cultivated at the school will probably remain with me for a lifetime. Above all I will always as- sociate my Jewish education with contacts that have become very meaningful to me in my Jewish educational and social life." The statement noted that the "positive attitude" toward sex in the Jewish tradition has led to "a frank treatment of the subject, not only in the home but also in the school, as an integral part of the study at all age levels of both the Bible and later rabbinic litera- ture." The resolution embodying the rabbis' position declared that many of the members of the rab- binical board "have long offered a variety of sex education pro- grams in their own religious schools" on the premise that Jud- aism considers ignorance "of any subject of human concern to be deplorable if not sinful." young marrieds are joining in sponsoring t h e -' dinner.
