British Board Acts to Combat Rise in Arab Propaganda

LONDON (JTA) — The Board of
Deputies of British Jews, respond-1
ing to warnings that more effective
action was needed to deal with
mounting anti-Jewish and anti
Israel propaganda in Britain, has
approved a proposal to appoint a
"director of defense and public re-
lations" to coordinate its efforts in

the public relations field.
The board's defense committee
told the meeting that the board was
"not sufficiently equipped" to deal
with such matters and recommend-
ed appointment of a director who
would "deal with any critical anti-
Semitic campaign" and handle the
"positive work" of defense and

bride of Martin Jerome Rosenfeld
in a Sunday evening ceremony at
Cong Beth Moses, with Rabbis

Moses officiating. Cantor Abra-
ham Ranani chanted the prayers.
The couple's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Louis Sonshine of Marlowe
Ave., Detroit. and Mrs. Edward
Rosenfeld of E. Court St. and the
late Mr. Rosenfeld. • The bride '
wore a silk organza gown with a
high-rise neckline. and lantern
sleeves. Appliques of Alencon lace
and seed pearls trimmed the A-line
skirt and Empire-waisted bodice.

The chapel-length mantilla was
edged with matching lace, and the
bride carried a spray of butterfly
_roses and Stephanotis. Nancy Tay-
lor of Detroit was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Stanley
Rosenfeld, Mrs. Carl Rosner of
Detroit, Marlene Sonshine of Tor-
onto and Bobbi Stein, Nikki Weiss
and Marsha Bovitz, all of Detroit.
