BUENOS AIRES (JTA)—An ap-
peal by new Israeli Ambassador
Eliezer Doron to Jewish journal-
ists to "exercise greater restraint"
in reporting news affecting Israel
or other Jewries drew a critical
reaction from the newsmen..
The envoy made his appeal in
his first meeting with the jour-
nalists. Most of them expressed
astonishment and said they con-
sidered themselves fully respon-
sible and had hitherto relied on
their own judgment. They asked
the ambassador to display greater
confidence in their handling of
news.
