Richard Tucker Appears in Opera on Wednesday

`Gay Deceivers' Remains
at New-Look Camelot

The newly decorated Camelot
Theater, Warren and Miller Rd.,
is holding over its latest attrac-
tion, "The Gay Deceivers," a com-
edy about two young men who try
to escape the draft by pretending
they're homosexuals.
The theater is accessible from
all expressways and is drawing
audiences from Oak Park, South-
field, Huntington Woods and North-

Peter Nero, hailed by the
London critics as "a new Gersh-
win" will be the next attraction
in Meadow Brook's Special Events
Series, 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Oak-
land University's Baldwin Pavilion.
Five of the world's great opera
stars will appear in a concert per-
formance of Verdi's "Il Trovatore '

Wednesday at Baldwin Pavilion.
The performance features Richard
Tucker as Manrico, Gabriella
Tucci as Leonora, Cornell Mac-
Neil as Count di Luna, Fedora
Barbieri as Azucena, and Ara Ber-
berian as Ferrando. James Levine
conducts the performance with the
94-piece Meadow Brook Orchestra.
