Ingredients for 4 servings:
16 vanilla wafers
14 cup sweet wine (or sweet syrup)

Douglas Shooks Take
Honeymoon in Freeport

Inc.)

1 cup diced fruit (fresh or canned)

We tried a quick dessert that util-
ized odds-and-ends of the pantry
and refrigerator. The result was so
successful that we decided to pass
it on to you. Actually it had a dou-
ble success: The kids not only liked
the desert—they even asked to pre-
pare it themselves for the next
time. It challenged their imagina-
tion and sense of creativeness. You
could play around a little in the
kitchen, and create your "special-
ite."

wine, or syrup from canned fruit.

vanilla. Stir well to blend the sugar
and vanilla into the cream.
3. Divide 7 , / 3 of the sour cream between
the four glases, spooning it on top of
the wafers. On the cream-layer ar-
